Charming color and feathery flower spikes make Astilbe Rheinland a showy addition to shade gardens. Blooming in early to midsummer, the mass of feathery plumes sway in the summer breeze—and they're great as cutflowers too. Lacy, deep green or bronze-green foliage adds texture to the garden throughout the season. A great addition to perennial borders, bed plantings or containers.

Astilbe are mainstays of shade and woodland gardens, and combine well with other moisture loving plants like Brunnera, Ligularia, Lobelia and Hosta. It makes a dazzling combination with yellow-green leaves of Hakonechloa macro 'All Gold.' Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit.

Best in morning sun with afternoon shade, thrives in moist, fertile soils.  Grows to 2 feet high and wide.  For maximum impact, plant in groups of 5 or more. Deer tend to avoid.  1 gallon pot from a grower in North Carolina.
