"Hawaii Blue" is a variety of a species of ageratum (Ageratum houstonianum), sometimes also known commonly as floss flower. Members of the Hawaii series of hybrids grow 6 to 12 inches tall and offer better heat tolerance than other ageratums. "Hawaii Blue" is a frost tender annual that is prized for an ability to grow in light shade, a compact form and dense clusters of blue, fringed flowers. This plant is relatively easy to cultivate, although certain care practices will help to ensure vigorous plant growth and flowering.
Plant the "Hawaii Blue" ageratums in a site with full or partial sunlight that offers fertile, well-drained soil. If you are planting multiple ageratums, space the plants about 6 inches apart.
