The sweetly scented tubular red flowers of this native honeysuckle often attract hummingbirds to the garden throughout the summer. Flowers are followed by bright red fruit, attractive to birds. Grow as a twining vine 5-7 feet tall, with a trellis or fence for support, or as a sprawling shrub. Blooms May-June and again in fall, on old and new wood.
