Sprays of bright below flowers in February, just when you're so tired of winter you can't stand it.  Blooms a full month before forsythia!
This shrub can be pruned to any shape you'd like: into an upright form, woven into a trellis, topiary, or fence, weeping down a wall or slope -- extremely versatile.  Full to part sun.  Prune after blooms fade in March.
