Huge, attractive, bright mauve-pink flower clusters atop deep wine red stems are a favorite of butterflies, lasting from mid-summer to fall before turning into tufts of seed heads. Clump-forming with sturdy stems.
Full to part sun, average or moist soil. 5 feet tall in bloom, great cut flower. Fantastic in rain gardens and mixed borders. Pair with black-eyed Susans and ornamental grasses to make a smashing late summer combination.
