4 to 6 inch red flowers with cream-colored anthers. The flowers are velvety, making them striking and elegant. It blooms from July to October. 1 gallon pot from a grower in North Carolina.
Mature size 6-12 feet, full to part sun, with roots mulched or in shade. Blooms on new wood, and will generally start flowering in late spring. These should be pruned in late winter or early spring when you see buds begin to swell, cut to the ground if desired.
